Summary

Fourteen-year-old Mike struggles to connect with his engineer father due to his math learning disability. Sent to rural Pennsylvania for the summer to work on what he believes is an engineering project, Mike instead finds himself working with his elderly aunt, a homeless man, and a punk rock girl on a community effort to adopt a boy from Romania, learning lessons far more valuable than math.
